#FROSTPUNK DLC PS4 PC#
Why should he have to buy a additional plaffourm to play how he wants when Xbox controllers are a accepted fourm input device for pc and frostpunk has already been shown to work with them.
#FROSTPUNK DLC PS4 HOW TO#
Originally posted by MtDewFella:To the dev, I'll make this simple for you, no controller support on PC, no money from me, are we clear? I'm sick and tired of devs making this excuse, the balance is different on console, screw you stop telling me how to play the game, PC is all about options so quit jerking us around and add the support Buy a console then.

PS: If you use a PS3 controller, The ScpToolkit has similar options available, but is less user friendly, and you have to be careful of where you get it from, many releases come with injected malware and/or trojans. Bindings can be changed in real time, with the controller plugged in, so you can tweak as you go.
When you've bound all the controls that you want, save the profile, and use your controller.
The touchpad by default mimics mouse behaviour, however, if you want to configure one of the sticks to be a mouse, I believe binding it to the little "m" button on the mouse picture should do this easiest (if that doesn't work, just manually bind each axis). Here you just click on the key/action/button that you want it to perform (or "Record a Macro" on the right, this wont be covered though). Clicking on a button on the image opens the mapping window. Edit or create a New Profile, and it will show a visual map of the controller, and a bunch of settings that you can ignore (or explore whenever you want, but it's outside the scope of this post).

The main program windows has tabs for navigation, the Profiles tab is where you configure the control layout. I'll give a brief introduction on how to configure DS4Windows (The installation process is simple, as is the process of finding it via Google, ignore all the spinoffs, most of they aren't as good, and often inject ads, ignore any "better than DS4windows" or "newer than DS4windows" claims, they WILL be worse). What this means in practice is that you can remap the controller to mimic keyboard+mouse commands. This program has significant support for remapping the controller to keyboard+mouse commands as well as to XInput commands. If you use a DInput (PS4) Controller, DS4windows is where you should look. If you use an XInput (XBox) controller, I think your only hope is Steam's controller support, but you'll need to find somebody more with knowledge of that system (I personally hate it, can't stand it, wish I could delete the files for it). Ok, since the dev has responded and said it's unlikely, I'll offer my help as a fellow Controller-On-PC-Person. Notably, the player won't have control over the Book of Laws, and is subject to New London's decrees.Originally posted by quetzaquotl:Still no controller support? On the Edge adds an extra layer of difficulty for players as they diplomatically trade and interact with other communities, explore deeper into the Frostland, and grapple with new mechanics. RELATED: Frostpunk Developer 11-Bit Studios Teases Future ProjectsĪccording to some, Frostpunk is a pretty approachable management sim, although it can be challenging for players who're unable to focus on the game's multiple tasks and manage city resources in a subzero environment. This DLC has players leave the city from the base game and strike out on their own to form a new Outpost in the freezing wilderness. Frostpunk comes from the developers of This War of Mine, and both games share a theme of surviving against the odds in a harsh environment. On the Edge is the third expansion for Frostpunkand the final installment in the Season Pass. Now, PC players can get On the Edge via Humble Store, GOG.com, and Steam. Fans of Frostpunk, the frigid city management survival game, have been excitedly awaiting the arrival of the game's final DLC ever since 11-Bit Studios announced On the Edge as a content sequel to the base game.
